About.
I have over two decades of experience mobilising research to improve policy and practice. I like both the hands-on delivery of research impact, as much as big picture stuff like developing strategies or setting up new infrastructure.
I have worked all around university-research evidence ecosystem:
Including within universities, research funders, innovation bodies, learned societies, national academies, and knowledge brokering organisations inside Whitehall and Westminster. I have also worked for clients in US, France, Finland, Canada, and Australia.
I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to ensure that that I can deliver results that meet your needs and are sustainable.
Although I identify as a social scientist, I love working across different disciplines, research methods, and policy areas.
Prior to being a consultant, I ran the Alliance for Useful Evidence at the UK’s innovation body Nesta for nine years. The Alliance was an open network championing the smarter use of evidence in policy and practice. Working across the UK and internationally, we supported NGOs, frontline professional staff, central and local government.
